New Treatment for Chronic Rhinitis Shows Promise
A new study published in the journal Allergy has found that a minimally invasive procedure called radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is an effective treatment for chronic rhinitis. The study, which was conducted by researchers at Houston Methodist Hospital, involved 40 patients with chronic rhinitis who were randomly assigned to receive either RFA or a sham procedure. The patients who received RFA had a significant improvement in their symptoms, including nasal congestion, runny nose, and sneezing, compared to the patients who received the sham procedure.
