1. Nutrient deprivation: The growth of tumors requires a significant amount of nutrients, and the first step is to cut off their supply. How can we intercept the cancer cells from obtaining nutrients? The primary issue is dietary, “do not overeat, do not consume high-nutrient foods.”When treating cancer, the first thing we must inform patients is not to eat too much. All vitamins, supplements, nutritional foods, and health foods should be completely stopped. Instead, they should consume normal food, with a focus on grains. We also require patients to engage in appropriate physical activity, which is considered as Yang, to restore Yang Qi, improve spleen, stomach and heart function, and increase resistance.
2. Vaporize Water: Apart from addressing the nutrition supply for tumors, the next step is to supply water. There are two types of water in the human body: pathological water – cold water (dead water), and normal water – hot water (vaporized). Cancer cells, tumors, and yin accumulation do not like hot water, but prefer cold water.
The water allowed in the human body is hot water, which is vaporized water. Therefore, the exhaled air is hot, vaporized, and full of the whole body. It is because of the hot air that circulation occurs. Cold water does not circulate, so we can see many patients with liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, and peritoneal cancer. In the later stages, their stomachs will swell and accumulate a lot of water, and their bodies will feel very cold when touched because it is all cold water. In other words, this tumor, cancer cells can convert normal hot air into cold water in order to survive.
So at this stage, it constantly absorbs nutrients from the blood, has something to eat, and constantly has water to drink. Therefore, in traditional Chinese medicine, treating tumors, whether it is liver cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, or kidney cancer, is not a problem. The first thing we need to focus on is water, vaporizing the water in the body.
When we change the environment, the body lacks cold water that is beneficial for the growth of cancer cells. Everything becomes hot water, which is what healthy tissues in the body prefer. This is what traditional Chinese medicine calls “qi”. This is the first step, we change the water from cold to hot.
3. Breaking up stubborn masses: The “Shennong Bencao Jing” states that salt can soften hardness. We can use salty-tasting medicine to break up stubborn masses. Yin Shi (retention of yin fluids) is what causes hardness, and both hard and soft tumors can be treated with salty-tasting medicine. For example, oysters and wavy grass are salty-tasting medicines that can be used for this purpose.
